MARTIN DEVANEY
One of those footballers who after joining Barnsley as a player, grew a real connection to the club and the area, so much so that he later returned as a coach.
Martin played close to 200 games for the Reds between 2005 and 2011, helping the club to promotion and the infamous semi-final run in the FA Cup in 2008.
He rejoined the club in 2015 as a coach within the Academy and has progressed over time into the first team setup, whilst also enjoying a brief caretaker head coach stint at the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
