We caught up with Head Coach, Jess Horsley following Barnsley FC Women's resounding victory at the weekend.
The Reds' 5-1 thrashing of South Shields on Sunday confirmed an 8th consecutive victory.
"A performance like that three games from the end of the season is a credit to the effort and commitment the girls have shown all season." Horsley told us post-match.
"They continue to improve each week which is great for us as coaching staff to see."
If Barnsley pick up just a point from one of their two remaining fixtures, they'll be crowned champions and secure back-to-back promotions.
"We still have two massive games left starting with Wallsend next week away from home. We know we have to prepare well this week to make sure we go there and perform to the best of our ability for what will be a great game against another club competing for the league title."
